I have eventually got around to changing the wheel on my Tormek 2000. The old wheel had grown onto the shaft and I could not shift it.
I eventually decided to drill the Old stone with a series of small holes and break it off the shaft.

The shaft was really badly corroded so I decided to purchase the new Easy Lok shaft which was very easy to change.

Now back up and running

:D Vic :D

Does anyone know if there is a similar solution available with the Jet wet wheel machine, the securing nut on mine is corroded on and no amount of WD40 will free it!

Any thoughts?

Looking at the Jet manual you can change the drive shaft, it doesn't look as easy to do as the Tormek but it should be not to difficult a job.

I have included the link to the manual for the Jet.
