Beautiful! Sadly it's pouring with rain and driving wind here in lowland South Wales, just contemplating going snow hunting in the hills.

Snowing like the clappers here north of Oxford where we usually miss the heavy falls. Though not nearly as bad as those getting 200mm. What's for certain, I won't be visiting the shed today!

Same here but more Welsh. :-D
Feeling cheated now. Must look great out your way (the wild west, I mean).

Let's see if this works...

No, it doesn't.

Heavy snow here in Bucks too. Had to get the chainsaw out and cut two large limbs blocking our drive. Such a shame the weight of the snow has damaged a lot of fir trees around here.

I'm afraid so - wasn't really worth the search, was it?! I filmed the view from my front room in response to friends on facebook who were posting wonderful festive images of snow, like Malcolm's; all I got was rain and wind.

drove from heathrow to somerset on Saturday in bright sunshine, even though the thermometer was reading ZERO c.
Started raining very early sunday morning, hasn't stop since, and the thermometer has gone up to TWOc

Got to go to Newport tomorrow to renew my passport, hoping I don't get snowed in.
Oh its going to be a long December till I can go back home.

It was code red here today in large parts of the country which basically means it was too dangerous to go on the road. Airports were closed, there were less trains and lots of car accidents. It wasn't that bad up here in Friesland were I live for most part of the day but at 03:00PM I told my employees to stop working and go home before it hit us as well. This is the situation right now.

I live exactly 15 miles from the Millennium Stadium as the crow, or seagull, flies and had to dig my car out yesterday morning to go to work in sunny Cardiff. Five miles away from home, and on lower ground, the roads and fields were clear of snow. My wife couldn't get her car out this morning because we had a light dusting of snow during the night which immediately froze on our drive.

Sunday was fun with pretty landscapes.
Yesterday I was thanking my lucky stars i wasn't out there scraping the windscreen to go to work
Today ( minus 7 centrigrade at 7am here) I am going stir crazy; I have just spent an hour giving the bathroom a good clean (worth brownie points!) just for something physical to do.
SWMBO is at work (she does 2 days a week) which is lucky, as she would be getting seriously cheesed off with me in the house.

Forecast is thaw this evening
