I have Nova G3 and a Supernova 2 chucks, and looking for a set of jaws with a smaller than 50mm internal dovetail to fit them. It seems a lot of things I need to turn are slightly too small to safely clamp into the standard 2"/50mm, I know I can go internal recess but wondered if I'm missing something out there as I cannot find smaller.

Ta for that but those are obviously for internal dovetail recess or spigot work.

I have now found the Sorby RSJ15 jawset which will solve my problem (and fit my chucks) but a bit steep!

This is Teknatools web page for that jaw set. It shows the jaws clamped on a tenon. the description includes this... All NOVA Chuck accessory jaws are designed to hold in the expansion and contraction modes. Looks like these should do what you want.

I've sorted the sorby now, what I got from that site was this

• A great range of smaller projects can be mounted and turned using either the expansion mode (mostly for bowls) or the contraction mode (mostly for spigots)

I need an internal dovetail for holding stuff on the outside of the job i.e contraction.

I use these http://www.axminster.co.uk/100mm-o-donn ... ets-718321. a bit pricy but very versatile.
Do these fit Nova chucks? I thought either the fitting or screw spacing was different but I stand to be corrected.

Chico - I can't see any smaller internal dovetail jaws on the Teknatool site

There is a list of jaw capacities which you can view or download for future reference as a PDF

Robbo, thank you for that, I'll keep it and use it in future.

Sorbys will be here today so problem will be solved.
