Hi there,
Can you tell me what size compressor i will need for painting small toys would a little hand one be powerful enough, advice please,

Brian

Really depends on what you are trying to run, an airbrush or a small spray gun, they will both have different cfm requirements.

You definitely need one with a tank on it, a lot of the budget ones dont have them. I have one for model making and the air comes out "puff puff puff" intime with the piston rather than a constant stream, so its no good for anything other than really small items.

Its not the lack of a tank that causes the puff-puff-puff its the fact its a diaphram compressor, a piston compressor will give a smoother delivery but the tank helps buffer the air supply and also means the compressor does not have to run continuously.
