Hi chaps, I'd like your views on the essential must have tools in a workshop.

My list of must have tools so far is;

Pillar drill
Plainer thicknesser
chop saw/miter saw (got one)
Bench grinder (got one)
Router table
nail gun/brad
bench sander
compressor (got a small 10L one)
workshop extraction unit for use with MDF
Biscuit joiner

I don't have endless space so I do have to be a little careful, the main work bench will be on wheels so I can move it about. I'm not in a position to be able to afford high quality tools so for now I'll have to make do, and replace with quality kit as and when I can afford it.

Any ideas chaps. I'm looking at a German made Lutz combination table later, with router table, bench saw and thicknesser all in one. It's big obviously but I think it could be a good buy.

The tools you need are not so much about how much money or space you have but what you intend to make and how much use the tools will get.
