I've got a new spray gun that is this one:

I think there is some dirt stuck behind the needle. But I can't figure out how to disassmble it. The front nozzle has a bolt type looking thing on it but I can't get it off and don't want to force it. The rear also has the width adjust and a bolt but again can't get it off. Any help would be much appreciated as I'm to timid to really try an force it for fear of braking it.

TIA

DOnt know about your gun in particular, but I always take the nozzle off and soak in thinners.
soak the needle end of the gun in a tub of thinners too

I'f the needle has dirt behind it, with the nozzle assembled and set up for spraying, hold your hand over the nozzle, and press the trigger, this forces air backwards back into the gun, past the needle and into the paint tub. Always worth a try, and something I do from habit, every few minutes of spraying. (before it gets clogged)

Almost all spray guns are similar in design yours seem little different to this one http://shw.felixheng.fotopages.com/16466769.html
or this one

The DeVilbiss has all the parts labeled and from what you say the dirt is probably behind the fluid nozzle. To take the fluid nozzle off you will need to give it quite a bit of wellie but it should undo.

The way to try to avoid these problems is through cleaning after every use.
Even if you are going to use it again in an hour or so.

The way I usually clean mine is to run about 1/4 of a canister of solvent through the gun. After the first couple of seconds of spray I direct the solvent spray into the used solvent can so I don't wast too much.

I also as "Tusses" does soak the air nozzle in thinners too.

Exactly what Jerome said. The fliud cap (the inner one) is pretty tight and is the one which needs cleaning by the sound of it. When you replace the needle put one drop of oil on the needle packing. (where the needle enters the gun body just above and in front of the trigger. HTH.

did n't the gun come with a spanner? that will fit every nut on your gun.
Remove the needle first, the lower control of the two at the rear of the gun, to avoid damaging the needle or/and fluid tip,

Just to follow up on this one. I couldn't for the life of my un-done any of the nuts, I really tried but was to scared to break them as the gun wasn't mine and is brand new. But I did what tusses said but not with my hand and it fired out the blockage and after that it worked well. When I finally came to clean it I cleaned everything I could see and soak the first half of the gun in solvent. Getting those nuts off remains a mystery thou, I tried so hard I marred the nut a little.

Glad you got it sorted Chems. It is very strange that you couldn't undo the fluid cap though? They are normally tight but not that tight.
