Hello :)

Started this bowl yesterday with the aim of getting it finished today as its a Mothers Day present.

I've been turning for just over a year so still a little bit cautious.
I quite possibley may be coming up with ideas far above my skill level so tend to go a bit slower whilst I get it right :)

So here goes:

Lower bowl is roughly 200mm Dia and about 75mm high, upper bowl is about 100mm dia and about 40mm high. Stainless tube is 50mm (visible bit, not counting the 20mm sunk into the bowls)

Top bowl showing plug to cap end of SS tube. In hindsight I would have liked to have made this without going all the way through, possibley should have had a thicker piece of material, but the hole was initially used for screwchuck mounting.

Filled up with pot-pourri:

And a more arty one, where I left it on their dining table when I went home and in wait for my parents to arrive:

Thank you for looking :)

That looks very good Matt. I can just see the top one with a bunch of grapes and other fruit in the bottom.
