My laptop has insomnia...

As per the thread title, my laptop is being a naughty little perisher and won't go to sleep :evil:

As it sounds like a 747 at take off even when idle (another problem!) I often put it to sleep, but the little tinker just nods off for a wee while then springs back to life ready for more tormentation! Any quick fix or thoughts you good people?

You may want to check the BIOS settings to see if Wake on LAN is switched on. Might just be some activity on the LAN that's waking it up.

laptops usually have the ability to be able to hibernate - look under the power settings option. This should solve the problem if you don't actually want to turn the laptop off each time you have finished with it.
