Just a quick question - are machine belt lengths the overall length of the belt (ie if it were a piece of string) ? I need to order 3 of different sizes for my Whitehead thicknesser, and the details have worn off the old belts.

Cheers

In the case of the V-belts I've just ordered, yes.

If they are reasonable sized belts, I gather they are, when you get replacements, check to see if the sizes listed is inside or outside.
You will probably measure the outside of your belts....?

Fair bit of info here- and also a supplier recommendation, I have bought odd bearings from them in the past.
