I've just bought a router from uktoolcentre.co.uk for £124.50 including VAT and I'm mightly p*ssed to have just got an email saying it's cleared UK cutoms where it's been sat for the last 3 days. Given that the purchase price clearly stated "Inc VAT" an extra 3 days delivery time from a UK web site offering "48 hour delivery" is not what you want to hear in the run up to christmas and the new year. Am I right in my assumption that I was buying directly from UK stock rather than from overseas?

Provided you are not asked for any more money, then how they get it to your house is not relevant.
But if they havent met their own deadline you are entitled to a full refund Because that was the terms of the contract you entered into.

Trading from a large tool & fixings showroom for over 60 years, UK Tool Centre has now brought its range online for delivery throughout the UK. UK Tool Centre offers a huge range of over 10,000 products, fast delivery and value from an established trusted company. We ship most of our products from the UK mainland and can offer a next-day service on the majority of items.

MOST OF OUR PRODUCTS = not yours, obviously.

Eight days now and still no sign of the router. I know it's christmas and all that but UKTC's idea of 48 hour delivery is a sick joke.

When you placed the order did they send you any form of email stating terms different from what was highlighted by NazNomad?

Because if they didn't you could well have ground to request a reduction on the cost based on the fact you took the information posted on thier site as the actual terms of the transaction.

UK mainland doesn't include Jersey for postal services; it's not even part of our collective (England, Scotland, Wales and NI) that's part of the EU, they have a separate situation with EU than the collective.

All in all I'd say that wording NazNomad highlighted to be misleading on at least 2 counts.

I saw an advert from them showing tools with really cheap prices. Too good to be true methinks. I checked out some online reviews of them, and they're are tons of bad ones, particularly around the customer service after people haven't got their order or got the wrong order.

I steered well clear of them...

Thanks for the comments lads. At this point all I want is the router but if it's not here in time for christmas I shan't be very happy. I had a look at parcel farce's tracking today and wished I hadn't...

Your issue appears to be with Parcel Force not UK tool centre. Complain to both, in writing. If you paid by credit card, complain to them insisting on refund for non-delivery.

I've just got off the phone with UK Tool Centre and to be honest I think the chap there is just as annoyed as me. He phoned me back a few minutes ago and said that he'd stayed on the phone with parcel farce while they went and fetched the parcel and PF confirmed that the label on the parcel had been changed (presumably because it got damaged) and the new label had the worng post code. Having identified exactly what the problem was one or the other of them took the decision to put it out for a saturday deliver. UK TC are on their christmas break tomorrow and full of apologies but at last I think it might be on it's way.
