This is my first go at (admittedly simple) segmented turning. Teabag storage in Beech & purpleheart. The purpleheart goes brownish when first turned then turns people after a few hours in the light, hence why the top looks a different colour as it was fresh off the lathe. C & c welcome. Looks lovely, but they are staves and not segments. I must post some pics of my stave drums that I make.
 
Thanks. It's all about the angles isn't it? Was pleased with the absence of gaps! Never heard of staves before, I stand corrected! I used cascamite.
