Elm Bowl with flat beaded band

I made this Elm bowl today as I need some practical/utility shaped bowls for a craft fair I'm doing in a couple of weeks. I couldn't help but add a decorative band to it...
Its 11" wide and made from a piece of English Elm. There is more about it on my blog.

Unsurprisingly I like this. Not a secret that I prefer work where the wood is the star.

The decoration looks really good and enhances the grain of the bowl.

Nice to be able to give my wholehearted delight to a piece of your work. Your technical skills are fantastic, but some of your recent work is "over engineered" for my personal taste
