Hi,

My name is Robert.
I live in Scotland;)
Now I recreate my woodworking workshop and plan to do some shopping;)
I'm looking for a band saw with possibilities to cut in depth 200+mm
I found view like Record Scheppach and Draper ('m thinking about something in budget 400-500 quids
Draper Bandsaw BS350c looks good from the specification.
But specification is a one and experience is something else.

May I ask anybody about any experience with this saw?
Or if you could recommend something in the same price range - will be nice.

Robert

Hi again

I add some question - if I can;)
If I compare to Scheppach Basato 3h Vario (Basa 3v) , which one is better?
Draper has better motor 1100W , Scheppach 800W
Or Maybe Charnwood w730?

R

Hmmmm - it is very strange
Is anybody who has experience with bandsaws:
- Draper BS350c
or
- Scheppach Basato 3h Vario (Basa 3v)

Please guys - I need to buy and I need to choose ;( Any help will be nice;)

Hello and welcome, I know nothing about any of these models you have mentioned.
I have an old record 250, which, apart from a tyre change is very reliable.
Looking at previous posts it appears that there are sometimes problems with most of them, but it looks like Record,
(whom I personally like) and Axminster tools are the best at doing something positive, when a problem has arisen,
Judging by previous posts on here.
The best advice seems to be get a demo at one of the woodworking shows, and sometimes a really good deal too!
Much depends on what you wish to use it for mainly, is it cutting 200mm deep the main priority?
Roller blade guides and thrust bearing would be best and a very good blade choice, most users here will mention Tuffsaws as the best blades and tooth choice.
Draper have posted a user manual, it may help with you're choice.
