Graham, that is a very interesting idea and I do have a weakness for contrasting woods. I can imagine having a go at that as v2.0.

ED65, the idea of an octagon occurred to me the other day on an if-all-else-fails basis. :mrgreen:

Coley S1, pic follows tomorrow cos I'm knackered and am having an early night. Don't expect great surprises: it's just a ceramic tube about a foot high and about 5" in diameter.
 
No pic tonight as I'm battling with my new photo software trying to get the file size down. The digital world can be a real pain sometimes!
