Anyone got one?

Can they be used for normal grinding too?

Suitable for use for the annual grinding of the lawn mover blade?

Used to have one, but left it Spain like a lot of other things!! when I returned to the UK. I know they are b****y expensive now!!

I never used mine for normal grinding so that I could keep the wheels flat for tool grinding, but I see no reason why not.

I have a Record Power 8" grinder with a 40mm white wheel & 25mm grey GP wheel & that suits me for what I want.

Hi Gary. These are the rolls royce of grinders. I can't see any problems sharpening mower blades with a slow speed grinder, other than it taking a bit longer. You might want to fit it with a courser wheel to speed things up. Otherwise I think you'll be impressed with it.

Well Tom,

I've taken the plunge and ordered one today from axminster. Spotting it yesterday at £45 off was the final straw.

Having thought about it I will reserve it just for the turning tools and buy £20 Clarke one for the garden tools.
