Cheap Diamond Stones

ITS have some diamond stones on sale so I took a punt on a couple. Can't say how long they will last but I just used them to sharpened a couple of chisels and a block plane and they seemed to work okay

Also got one of the little Eclipse style honing guides from them, I've always sharpened freehand so thought I would try one in case I was missing out. It worked fine, no trouble at all to use and produced accurate results

Not wanting to start a debate, just pointing out the cheap stones in case they are of interest to anyone..............

I bought two Ultex ones 300 and 1000 grit back in 2019 and still using it. I don't use it as much as others may use them but so far they are okay. Although I feel that they are getting finer, of late.

I have used them for chisels and planes irons.

I bought the 600g and 1000g of those several years ago and they've worked well so far.
