Bandsaw blades advice

Hi all,

I have a Charnwood 14 inch prem bandsaw.

I am looking for some advice on what new blades to get for it. I am kinda sold on the tuffsaw blades

But I am unsure of what width of the blade and too to get

I am looking to do resawing and also looking to do some curve work/ shapes etc.

Any advice would be appreciated I understand it may be more than one blade which is fine.

Get hold of Tuffsaws, tell them what you wish to do and they will advise you on the best blades for your purposes.

For Re-sawing you need the widest and biggest tooth blade your machine can tension.

For radius work the blade width is dictated by the radius of the cut you want. i.e. 5/8 radius 1/4" blade, 5/8 blade 4" radius and any variation in-between.

I have 1/2" Superftuff Fastcut blades on my Charnwood W730 and can cut 8" Oak no problem
