Lidl Plunge Saw - Extra Track

I went straight to the Koppernass website. It doesn't show it there but shows all the Parkside tools and replacement parts and batteries.

    Advice on buying chisels needed

The Narex chisels are pretty good. The edges of the blade are thin enough for some fine dovetailing. The Aldi and Lidl chisels I'd imagine would be quite thicker.

    Workshop Build

Thankfully everything was ok. Don't mind the date at all. It's still at the early stage yet. The block work should be up and finished by the end of the week.

    Workshop Build

More progress made over the weekend. Removed 13 load of topsoil to level up the back up to the level of the concrete at the side of the house. Don't know why it was so high at the back. Rainwater during a heavy shower used to run back towards the back of the house. I'll upload a few pics when I...

    Workshop Build

Well it has been months since I started this thread. I have just finished taking down the shed that was there myself and dug up the very thin concrete floor that was in half of it. https://goo.gl/photos/tLpMVNVs13JZ9cxG7

    Jet 2244 Drum sander

The only way of getting it back up and running is to get the parts needed.

    Jet 2244 Drum sander

Thanks for that. It is the motor assembly that attaches to the conveyor. It includes the whole electronic unit including the motor, switch, housing and cables that run to the main motor and the power point in the shop. I reckon it's going to be expensive to replace.

    Jet 2244 Drum sander

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been on for a while, still adjusting to our new house move and working on some things in the house. Just as we moved into the house, a jet spindle moulder and drum sander came up on a classifieds site that I just couldn't let pass. The spindle moulder is perfect and...

    Martelet spindle moulder

I've used one in a joinery for 13 years. The price for the spindle moulder is €1600. I don't know if that is expensive or not for what I'd be getting.

    Martelet spindle moulder

That's actually it. It would be only for light hobby use.

    Martelet spindle moulder

Hi guys. I have come across the above spindle moulder for sale and was looking for some advice. It is single phase and comes with a power feed and a few cutters. The thing is it only has a 2hp motor. Should I be looking out for something with a beefier motor?

    Bog Oak

Here's a piece of quartersawn bog oak I am planning to make a jewellery box from.

    Bog Oak

Bog oak is typically black but some of the brown colour can be found closer to the centre of the log. These trees were part of large forests thousands of years ago and other bog woods are available such as bog yew, bog ash, bog willow and bog pine. Here in the Midlands of Ireland I'm surrounded...
