45mm foam core insulated garage door for sound proofing?

I managed to get some readings, I used the Bosch iNvh app, and made two measurements at approximately 1.5 m away from the machine, which is an Aximinster 330 lunch box run without load. inside garage with machine off, inside garage with machine on, and same again outside with garage door...

45mm foam core insulated garage door for sound proofing?

I replaced my garage door with an insulated Hormann segmented door a couple of years ago, not only does it keep the garage warmer, It has a great seal and does reduce the sound.

    Glue for polycarbonate sheet

EMA plastic weld is dichloromethane ( methylene chloride ), listed as suitable for bonding styrene butyrate , ABS , acrylic, lucite or plexiglas, and perspex. I use it all the time and it's good stuff, I am primarily a model maker though and cannot 100% vouch for bonding the polycarb that...

    Air Nailers

Firstly I'd not recommend anything at all with a silverline badge on it, It's right up there on the "Buy cheap buy twice" Scale. Secondly, assuming the gun isn't defective, I'd experiment with the operating pressure, sounds suspiciously like a defective regulator on the compressor to me, but...

    EPDM roofing

I fitted some to a big hutch I made ( 7ft x 3ft x 5 ft) , found it very easy and forgiving to work with. I found it a lot less fiddly than felt, I also used wooden edge trims. I just sealed the top join with roofing sealant just to stop any moisture penetrating to the rear of the edge trim...

    FINE DRIILS

I can second chronos tools, I bought a set of fine drills some time ago , good quality bits still going strong, 0.1 - 6mm in 0.1mm increments quite reasonable as well. I do still need to get the 6- 10mm box to complement the set.

Visited the Axminster shop for the first time...

Oh Oh !, trust me it's a slippery slope. I introduced a friend of mine to Axminster, now it seems whenever we go and drool over tools, it has become a competition of who can make the other one spend the most ..... I never knew I needed so many shiny things....

    Shed build

Daft Question, but is it not worth having a bash at using EDPM for the roof. I used some for a hutch I made, damn sight easier than faffing about with felt. Unless there is underlying pyromania lurking about with using the torch.

    Making ammo!

Very Nice job on the Rounds, Totally empathize with the "customer" situation, I have done custom work for a similar crowd "war gamers". With re-enactment being toy soldiers, but on a different scale. *) The main issue I found was that people do not comprehend or choose to ignore, that it...
