Tools and machines for my workshop?

Not sure why everyone is so against you buying the things you would like. I have a garage full of cheap tools and would love to upgrade them. Even yesterday I struggled for about an hour trying to get a flat face on a cheap joiner. Wasted some more time trying to set the bit height in my £20...

Brad nailer 16 or 18 gauge?

Ok thanks. Most of them I am seeing online are the 18g. It was just that I had the opportunity to get a 16g for cheap. I can see myself using it for smaller stuff so will give the 18g a go.

Brad nailer 16 or 18 gauge?

I am thinking of getting a brad nailer to make drawers and for general projects. What gauge would you recommend if you were only to get one. I could get a Axminster Air T50P second hand for about half price but its 16 gauge not sure if that is a good thing or not. Thanks

    TITAN TTB579PLN 204MM Planner thicknesser

Not tried to take the out feed one off but and sure the in feed one will come off. There is a guard to stop you touching the blade so should be ok. This does product around 4cm of snipe most of the times I have used it so I wouldn't recommend it as just a thinknesser. Does me well for what I...

    Need a band saw

I am looking to get a saw too. I did notice that on the Axminster site they do have a new hobby saw HBS200N. Kind of wondering what that is like. I was going to get the SCHEPPACH BASA 1 from screw fix for £180 but from what I have heard Axminster are the better option to go with.

    TITAN TTB579PLN 204MM Planner thicknesser

The 3rd one seems to be working well but have not had the chance to put much through it. Hopefully this one will stand up a bit better.

    TITAN TTB579PLN 204MM Planner thicknesser

I did pick up a table saw from them too so I hope its not that bad. Going to be picking up my 3rd planer on the weekend. Hard to find anything much better around the same price. They seem to be mostly the same just re-branded.

    TITAN TTB579PLN 204MM Planner thicknesser

Had another look and can really not see why they would keep falling off. Hopefully 3rd time is a charm. :)

    TITAN TTB579PLN 204MM Planner thicknesser

@MikeJhn Thanks. I think I was doing it wrong at first but was not the cause of my problems. I ended up returning it and getting a new one of the same model. The table came much more parallel and was able to adjust it a little bit so it was spot on. The joiner is working much better now however...

    Advice on a table saw.

I am guessing that same advice for Clarke Vs Axminster applies to most tools including Band saws?

    Advice on a table saw.

Thanks for letting me know. Seems that us Europeans do things a little differently. I am going to have to look into Band saws now :) . I have seem people using circular saws and making their own guides so that could be a good idea as well as looking at track saws.

    Advice on a table saw.

Wow I wasn't expecting so many relies so quickly! Thank you all. From the sound of it the Axminster is the way to go. There is a shop about an hour away so I may make a trip down there on the weekend. Thinking about what mind_the_goat has said most of the channels on YouTube are of Americans...
