Its well built and sturdy that's for sure, weighs a ton but I keep it in the workshop so not much moving about, very powerful suction and the adaptor fits all the tools I have used with it so far I reckon this will be in use for many years to come, just got to sort out a cheap supply of bags...

Yes starmix vac runs for 7 seconds after tool depowers to clear the hose
