I am now the very proud owner of a Dewalt DW733 thicknesser. It gives an almost perfect finish except for a tiny score line down the length of the wood.

Am I being too fussy? Thoughts?

Thanks

It's likely to be a nick in the blades. If you open it up, you should be able to shift one blade to the far right, and the other to the far left. Hopefully they will cancel each other's nick out :)

Is the score raised or a depression, as Matt said it could be a nick in the blade or it could be a bit of debris/resin stuck on the table, or the anti kick back fingers.

It's tricky to do on this particular thicknesser, as there is not a lot of lateral manoevering room in the cutting head, but you can (just) move one blade rightwards 0.5mm and the other leftwards 0.5mm to compensate for a nick. Realistically, you need to resharpen. £12 for a set in Belfast.
