Hi - I tried CA (super-) glue on a small 1/2" diameter piece of walnut on the lathe, and it worked very well with just one coat.
But on a larger piece, it soaked in in places, dried too quickly in others, and generally made a mess which had to be sanded off.
An "accelerator" is often recommended for between coats, though slow drying isn't an issue for me, but is there such a thing as a "decelerator"? Or, how can I make it work?
Thanks,

Take care to have good extraction and skin protection if using quantities of CA.

If you suddenly start having facial histamine reactions (head cold/puffy eyes/runny nose like symptoms) stop the exposure.

You can actually buy slow set CA try a model aircraft shop.
