Hi everyone
Can anyone advise on the following
Just acquired a kity 1619 table saw but the motor was just humming when trying to start
Found 2 capacitors connected in parallel across 2 motor terminals
One has blown ( see pics )
They appear to be obsolete ( no surprise due to age of machine )
Will need a couple of equivalents but unsure how to spec
Obviously need to be 25 micro farad and I've read of similar voltage range but is that all I need
There are a lot online for refrigeration etc but not sure if they are up to it
The motor is 1.8kw ( its badged kity but its a leroy somer )
Any guidance or info much appreciated

It's odd that there are two, perhaps someone has previously replaced and used two smaller rather than one larger! Capacitors add capacitance when used in parallel so if this were the case you need 50mF in total. when I have replaced a capacitor I've just ordered a start/run capacitor with the correct capacitance.

Thanks for the reply - I'll do that I think
The only thing I was unsure about was other than the correct rating and voltage - is there different sizes -ie current rating etc
The ones I've seen online seem to be for air con units / refridgeration etc
It's a 1.8kw motor so bigger than the above
Maybe I'm over thinking it
Cheers
