Watching Escape to the Country on TV I extracted a television screen picture with my camera and adapted it to my painting scene below.

I added large tree ( I have had to manipulate it would not load correctly here)

Cottage on right, horses and sheep also added.

Pleased to hear that the picture was liked, I am going to extend the scene with another two or three paintings of the subject, horse and hounds coming over the top of the brow, tractor and farmer with hay, public footpath signs at the gate in fact the ideas are endless at the moment. Rain, snow, sunset & storms.
Problem is I saw some more landscape watching Escape to the Country again yesterday, Exmoor was the area.

Cant draw or paint for a toffee, I am always jealous of people who can do both. Working as a sculptor this a pain to say the least.
Here is my take on Yorkshire Dales.
One of a set of three screens I made for garden in London, based on the customers favourite water colour of the dales.

Made of 30x5mm mild steel strip cold bent for the main bold lines. 2.8x1.8m
I confess to almost having cold feet when I took the job on.
