Now here is an interesting sale (which i have nothing to do with whatsover, other than a strong desire to own a lorry with a crane...!) - i've not done the maths as to whether 250 quid is a fair price for that amount of unseasoned yew timber... seems a lot, seeing as it would cost a fortune to collect it, then would require sawing etc etc...

It seems a terrible shame for that not to be planked and the timber put to good use...
 
Frankly wc it's a lousy piece of timber. It's an Irish Yew, as frequently seen in church yards and as you can see from the pics it doesn't really have a trunk, just many smaller stems that have fused together.
I can't see how it could be planked into anything worthwhile.
Long Bow, broom handles perhaps.
