I am looking to buy some decent workwear. I'm fed up with buying jeans all the time. Someone mentioned carhartt as being very hardwearing, but I am in Lancashire and i cannot find anyone that stocks it round here. On the CH website there seems to be a supplier in bury lancashire but i cannot find any contact numbers on the site, neither does 192 know of the store (cootsboots i think its called)

Their main Uk site is http://www.carharttworkwear.co.uk/carha ... %20Kingdom

Does anyone know of a stockist in the Lancashire (ish) area? or perhaps give me the names of other decent workwear brands?

Thanks
simon

I use the Dickies trousers (I get them locally but they are available from Axminster) and have the knee pads that slot into (a real god send if you have bony knees like me)

They are made from Shiny material but are very good quality and last a long time.

And as they have some sort of non stick coating paint just wipes off them and dust is easily removed by hand.

Quite pricey (still cheaper than Levis) at 30 quid (I get them for 30€!!! )

If you are willing to mail order you can use Strauss direct, They have a good range and are dirt cheap despite being good quality for most stuff. We use them on the farm for all sorts.
