Evening all, :D
I went into my workshop this morning, and a light didn't start!
so i got up and replaced the starter, whilst up there i noticed just how much sawdust and "c*@p was on the tube  !!!! so cleaned it ,& also the others, WOW---what a difference------- .
( i never remember it being that bright to start with)
i didn't realise just how dim it had got in there!
so if you think you need glasses, clean your lights first!
all the best -----scroller Frank-------

Frank,

Thanks for the reminder, I usually try to take down all of the fluorescent tubes every autumn (fall) and wipe them and the fitting clean, ready for the dark evenings.
Just how big a tuit box does one need?

Beer crate size should do, doubt that your light fittings are that high that you can't reach them standing on one. :p

Frank, If the tubes have been in for a while you will also notice a big improvement if you renew them, they do degrade over time.
