This subject seems appropriate with the current interest in workshops and the coming winter. I have a lot of offcuts which I bring home and burn in the fireplace. Rather a waste as most of the heat goes up the chimney, and I have central heating
I have a large workshop with a pitched and tiled roof and a conventional ceiling (plasterboard fixed to the underside of the roof trusses). What I would really like to do is to install a woodburner in the middle of one of the rooms, on a concrete slab and with some kind of grille all around it for safety (this is a commercial workshop) and a chimney going up through the ceiling and the roof.
Anybody know about how to go about this, or of a good source of info on the subject?
