Hi all,
I'm staying in Lostwithiel next week and have 2 days free from SWMBO, Fridays and Saturday.
Are there any woodyards around the area that let you self select? My normal supplier is Surrey Timbers who have varying selections of hardwoods individually priced. They are perfect for me as I tend to look at what's available and then decide what to make, I don't often go looking for wood for a specific project. PAR or planed on 2 faces is ideal for me. So somewhere similar would be great. Yandles and the ones around Bristol are too far for a quick trip just to look around.
Also any markets or shops that sell old hand tools would be nice to have a wander around.

Thanks in advance.

They are at the top of the hill, on the road to Liskeard. I haven't been there for years, so don't know what their current policy is. Also https://www.parkwaytimber.co.uk/ on the A38 just outside Bodmin. Another interesting place might be Richards at Doublebois, who do reclaimed timber. More of a builders merchant, but you never know what they might have. https://www.richardsbuildersmerchants.co.uk/ It's a bit like a scrap yard for wardrobes.

(My knowledge is a bit out of date - YMMV)
