Evening folks,

Has anybody had or does anybody in the Essex area do any form of training for wood working? (hand tools/joints/furniture) - seen some of the courses available outside of the area but nothing local. I think I'll get to a certain 'standard' (fairly low :) ) chopping stuff up by myself but if I want to improve I'll need some training. Not looking to buy ATM but I'm interested to know if theres anything about.

As well... are there any real worthwhile books out there?, theres a hell of a lot of info about on the net so is there something printed thats above and beyond?

Once again thanks for your thoughts..

Hi

There's Geoffrey Rowe just over the border in Herts junction of M25 and A1 - probably your closest. He runs one to one courses and is pretty good - I did a few weeks with him year before last.
