A couple of years ago I bought various timber from a local cabinet maker who unfortunately had to retire due to major health issues.
Whilst I know what most of the timber is, there is some I am unsure about.
This is a reasonably dense wood and difficult to work with being a little brittle and having wavy / interlocking grain.
It does have an usual but not unpleasant smell which I'm struggling to identify but is a bit like cocoa beans (I think?).
There were faded chalk marks that looked like PARRA and I initially thought it might be Jarrah but I don't think jarrah gives off an odour?
Any thoughts please?
