Just a heads up for those who may be interested.

No idea if it's any good, but Lidl have a wood carving set coming up soon.
 
Can't be used straight out of the box. Pretty much all of the chisels have something like a 60 degree bevel. I like mine closer to 20 or less. I reground them all and the steel is ok. Certainly for the price. Not Ashley Isles, but hey, I paid around £18 to £20 for the set, in a wooden box. Go for it if you can do the re grinding and sharpening.
 
My guess is no. I imagine they will be like the Silverline set someone bought me - grinding angles all over the place, won't keep an edge, and the handles drop off. Better buy Henry Taylor or Ashley Iles if you mean to use them.
 
If you want to try woodcarving go or it. The chisels were decent and you can always but individual chisels of better quality if you keep at the woodcarving.
 
I got these the last time round. They need fettling but after that. Its fine to learn with
