I was a bit concerned when I read the title- I've just bought a kreg and am yet to use it and thought it may have been a manufacturing fault :lol:
Im gonna try his method next time I've got some holes to drill

The end fine bit will snap off if you go through into the jig....or don't stop the drill before removing as it will rattle and chance snapping it off.

Me? no never done that!
