Wiring LED strip light. Help!

I got this large LED strip light from a car boot sale. I thought it would be simple wiring up just light a normal strip light, but it's not working.

I don't know about these things, but I think it's because it's an emergency light and perhaps need an additional input to function, like a 12v feed on a burglar alarm sounder?

Any help folks?

Ah, had to put a live feed onto both the L and SL terminals.
