hi, hoping someone on here may be familiar with the Elu MF-440 planer.
I have just acquired one (I like the old heavy planers like this and the skil 100 etc if anyone was wondering why and am always on the lookout for them) with a faulty switch, apparently it ran but would not turn off. the planer came with the switch removed. I've stripped the switch down and cleaned the contacts but I cannot find out how to rewire it to test the switch.
i tried to post a pic of what i have but i'm getting a message that i'm not allowed, i'm guessing its because i am a new member, so i'll do my best to explain...
power cord with brown and blue. from the plane two pairs of taped together wires red/yellow each. the switch itself has 2 pairs of connectors marked 1 on one side and 2 the other.
if anyone can shed any light on the puzzle it would be appreciated. Thanks
