I have a little project to do that needs the use of wire stripers, I do have a rusty pair that you put the wire in the end and pull with the other hand but as I will be striping about 100 wire ends, this will be very small wire used to be telephone wire, I was considering buying a automatic pair, they are about £7 so are cheap, the only thing is I have never used this sort be for.
I would add a link but I'm bound to muck it up.
Has any one used this sort and are they easy to use.
They do seem cheap but it may help as my left hand dose not work to good, I can grip with it but only just.

I have a couple of pairs of that type and they are good, but struggle on the thicker cables outer sheathing such as 6mm. A stanley knife is better for that and then use these on the individual inner sheathing. :)

Hi

These are a better design if they are suitable for your wire size

Copied from tooling used in the aircraft industry.

I have a pair of those Rolson ones. Cost me about £3. I also have an RS pair which cost £50. The Rolson ones are 100 times better

Afternoon Caretaker

I have a pair similar to ones in the link, and they're very easy to use, but haven't used them on anything as thin as telephone wires

I've got some alarm cable in the workshop, so I'll give them a try in a bit and let you know if they're ok with the thin stuff.

Cheers
Stu
