White furniture in Sketchup

Has anyone got any tips for making painted white furniture look realistic in sketchup?

I have had some really good results using wood colouring but white looks awful!

Take a photo of the colour you want and then create the material using the photo.

don't use white. use a slightly off bluey white, it apparently renders better
