Grain doesn't suggest beach. I've worked a lot of it the last year, so I'm too familiar.

More of tropical look.

I vote Idigbo too

I reckon it's Idigbo. This is the nearest I could get to in The Wood Handbook by Nick Gibbs.

My vote would be for (rather sunbleached) sapele or some similar tropical hardwood.

My parents had a large kitchen table & matching chairs made of Rubberwood about 25 years ago.....The colour & grain pattern was quite nice!
