I'm new here and looking at buying my first scroll saw. I loved woodwork at school and want to reignite my passion!

I have a 2 1/2 year old son and am eager to get making some wooden animals etc as well as gifts for family this Christmas.

My current budget is no more than £100, preferably as little as possible without compromising on quality.

Please help me!

Thanks, Bonnie

I think a lot of people try scrolling and give up; I'd look for second hand, perhaps on eBay.

There's a huge (may be inconvenient) "Diamond" saw offered on the sale area of this very site!

The diamond as mentioned above is the daddy of scroll saws .. But its rather big and as its no longer in production factory parts may be a problem, but if you can make any bits as and when required... its a bargain

Out of all the 'budget' saws for the better clamping against some of the others I'd suggest looking the Jet JSS-16
