Hi Everyone, Please share some advise.

Which Centre Drills is good for spotting the location for the drilling operation?

I think what I use are a size BS5 centre drill, they’re consumables liable to snapping and getting dull so I buy a pack of 10 or so when I need them.

What you want are spot drills. They are short and stiff and leave conical start that matches your drill bit so it centres in it. If drilling metal you can go in just far enough so that when you follow with the regular bits the hole is chamfered. Makes it easier to start a tap too.
