You should all now be finishing those SS gifts and getting them ready for posting.

Please don't forget to let me know when you have posted them, and also when you receive one.

Happy posting.

must be pretty early in the season for that isnt it? we only had a light frost yesterday!

There's been snow on the tops for a month here in snowdonia, the conditions keep coming and going though; i'm hoping that it will be a good season!

Jelly - folk have certainly getting a lot done. What route(s) did you get on yesterday? I'm very jealous, not been out rock climbing for months, well nothing since the alps in Switzerland over the summer.

Nipped up tryfan at first light, but it was clear once we were about 2/3rds up there that conditions were better on the carneddu, so we went across the road and up Y gully (?) and then over to another gully (concealing a vertical section halfway up) and up onto the summit of Pen yr Ole Wen... All good fun, well worth.being stuck in a&e today (caught one edge of my crampon on rock after a patch of soft snow gave way during the descent, ankle twisted, hip somehow injured, leg generaly swollen).

Sounds ace. Apart from the injury. That the problem with winter stuff in the UK, conditions are often so poor, you're often on a horrible snowpack, which is about as stable as a house of cards. Still, sounds like a cracking day you. I'm very jealous.

Jelly? "and up onto the summit of Pen yr Ole Wen... " - wazat past Pinnacle Ridge? I still have fond memories of it and Trinity Gully from eons ago. Wistful. :( :( Sam
