I'd like some lighting to go in my back garden when I finish my patio and for some reason I'd like something that looks along the industrial style. I just fancy something a little different.

Any ideas where to look? Preferably cheap :) I don't mind if they were originally 110/400v and need converting, just trying to do this on a budget.

Industrial style and different .. Mmmm lemme think...

any reclamation yards around your way or derelict factory buildings/wasteland

Sodium lighting? You can pick up second hand units off the 'Bay for pennies. Just the lamps that could cost a few ££.

Only downside is that once switched off, they need to cool down before you can switch them on again.

You need IP65 (or 66) industrial lighting and you need it cheap?

Not really a set of specs I would normally lump together. :-(

Exactly, which is why i asked just incase anyone knew a source.
I'll keep my eyes open for the likes of factory closures. The style i like seem to go for around £200 each, certainly can't stretch to that.

I'm always searching for industrial stuff. Can you post a few pics of the kind of thing you're after ?

I'm thinking something along the lines of below. Either fixed direct or hung but the main thing i want is for the lamp itself to be seen as I'm thinking of using edison lamps as they will be more for show tgan actual lighting.

B&Q do a similar lantern to your first picture. I've just fitted one on Friday for a friend. I think she paid about £20 for it.

Didn't realise you meant wall mounted. I'm thinking of something more like the BTC Titan.

It's going to be for out doors. The more industrial looking the better. It doesn't necessarily need to be wall mounted as I could easily buy/make some brackets.
What I'd really like is one of the blast proof pendants or bulkheads, but they are pretty rare now.
I just want my patio to look a little different.
