Hi All,

My son would like to make some fireside bellows, but doesn't know where he could buy a nice brass nozzle for the air outlet. Does anyone know of a supplier, please?

Thanks for looking,

I think they're usually made of thin brass sheet, bent to a cone shape and soldered or riveted at the edges. Then the nozzle is attached to the wooden bit with small brass pins or staples, and the joint between brass and wood is often covered with leather or similar because this also covers the joint with the gusset.

So what I really mean to say, a bit longwindedly, is that the bellows maker makes his own nozzle.

Thank you both for your interesting ideas. I will pass them on to my boy, and I am sure he will be grateful to you both.

Kind regards

John C
