Me and the wife support group for this lot https://www.justgiving.com/twowheelstwintowns/
Laurie is my grandson and we did the (nearly) 1000 miles with them (or behind them) from our front door, with tent and full kit all the way. Our role was kind of remote support - more telling them what they could do rather than what they should do. They did really well - their last day was 105km high level from Chabreuil to Die via Col de Rousset etc. Pretty good going with full camping kit! Slightly beyond us so we split it into two days and arrived a day behind them.
All in a good cause so bung them some cash - it's not for them it goes to Amnesty International; we (and they) paid our own way.

Good to see you're back, hope the knee held up & you both had a good break, you missed some lovely beer at the Bulls head at Belper road end, but if you will go off on your bike

Thanks all.
Knee held up fine - in fact was the best bit, thanks to the NHS. Everything else was a bit decrepit.
The french are into micro brewery too so you can get all sorts very nice of modern local beers. Though you can't beat a 50cl pression of cold lager on a sunny day from underneath a sunshade. Just a pity you can't accompany it with a Gauloise as in the good old days.
Lost half a stone weight in spite of regular intake of patisseries, plats de jour, tins of cassoulet (top notch cyclists food) etc

Well done =D> - I thought you'd been quiet :)

I thought you'd been banned! Esp. as your 'date last visited' is blank.

Well done, very impressed with your capability, let alone the generous purpose of your efforts.
