Whats this hinge used for?

I found a quantity of these in a junk shop what are they used for? and what are they called...they look industrial in design

Just a guess ... Flap hinge with built in stay

Hi, not to sure what to call them but have come across something very similar in packing crates for industrial equipment. Allowing the sides to be removed then the base of the crate to fold down to reduce storage space.
