Cherry maybe?
I'm restoring this table for a friend. The top was in a bit of a mess so I sanded it down yesterday. This is how it's looking now:-
In the last pic I've used some sanding sealer to bring up the colour - a rich red, and grain - not particularly interesting.
We think the table was made in the War and judging by the little patches, using s/h timber.
I've used Eutopean Cherry before but that has a more mellow honey colour. Could this be American Cherry?
