It's intriguing the way different folk work! Unlike Andy, I use my Jorgensen handscrews all the time - an incredibly versatile clamp.

Mine just slip and takes me ages to get the jaws parallel. Hmm maybe I'll percivere, but then again ..... But you right, what's a god send to one gathers dust to another.

By the way if any Dutch members of this forum fancy any of my 3 unused items (8 clamps so actually 11), a beer and they are yours (as long as you collect them!)

The 778 is a useful plane that works very well. I'm sorry you haven't got on with it.

It is great for kids if you want to do a bit of rebating and don't trust them with a router.

I re-flattened the back tonight and sharpened yet again. I even found the fence - took 20 minutes to find
The plane cuts rebates really well but I have no desire to use to it for that as my router table does a better job in seconds
