In this country we are more used to seeing large band mills used to convert logs into boards. Historically, large band mills were not as popular in North America for this task, and large insert tooth circular saws were more common, although my research seems to suggest band mills are becoming more popular there. I think it's interesting to speculate what role some of the larger sawblades shown in your link might have had. Slainte.
