Hi, I need to replace part of a carport roof due to water ingress through mineral felt. There are 8x4 sheets of some ply type material currently, What suggestions for reasonable quality and cost would you suggest, I’ll be refelting too. Thanks Mike.

Nothing wrong with quality felt if applied properly, mine on my extension roof lasted 30 years.

Yebbut it’s getting quality felt these days, most guarantee their product for only ten years though you usually get a longer life out of it than that, whilst EPDM is usually guaranteed for 20 years with a life expectancy of 50

If you're going to refelt, use 18mm ply and you'd be able to walk on it with scaffold boards if the supports were strong enough. Get the pro's in to fit it properly with heat to melt the tar so it sticks.
How about twinwall polycarbonate? Reasonable price if you shop around. I did a7x5m carport 15 years ago for £750.
